3D printers are inherently PINCH, BURN AND SHOCK HAZARDS. The X and Y platforms can move VERY FAST.
Please know that these machines aren't mass produced..  These are special machines that require some maintenance.
Since parts are moving very fast and there is always some vibration, you should occasionally check for loose nuts and bolts.
THIS IS NOT A KIDS TOY.
    There is no warranty.

3D-Printed Optics Could Light Up the Gadgets of the Future

.3D-printing is awesome, but it has its limits. For the time being, we mostly get static plastic figures, and while resolution is getting better all the time, we're far from a real replicator future. A new development is bringing us one step closer, however: printable optics.A paper recently published by Disney Research—the folks who brought you the plant-computer interface—describes how certain techniques could lead to 3D-printed objects that respond to touch and manipulation with a lights. The simplest technique basically involves bottom-lighting a figure, and using specially printed

HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer review: fast home machine with great output quality

The best features of HP's $200 Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One multifunction inkjet printer (MFP) may be its output quality and the 4.33-inch LCD control panel that makes this machine marvelously easy to use. It's also a well-rounded unit (print/copy/scan/fax), with good speed and all the features most home and small offices need.
It's easy to set up the Photosmart 7520, and the software is first-rate. The LCD panel has a clear, icon-based menu structure; though it's a touchscreen, you don't tap so much as press (for perhaps half a second) to invoke options. The printer has the now-ubiquitous cloud-printing capabilities, including HP's own Web-based apps, as well as HP ePrint and Apple AirPrint for printing from mobile devices.
